THE OTHER END OF THE TELESCOPE...

I guess the real question is not:

why have so many people whose blogs I have been following for ages just stopped blogging?

but:

why on earth am I still blogging?

Bloggers do seem to travel in cohorts. There was a period in our corner of Blogville last year when everyone's marriages seemed to settle down for the better, shortly followed by a synchronized falling-apart across the field which was a little peculiar. And many of them/us started blogging at the same time as well.

So why on earth am I still at it?
What signal have I missed?

Beats me.
