SECOND VERSE VI...

ASYMMETRY

If I say you and I are not aligned,
I make no judgment, do not say I’ve guessed

How what we've shared may look, may seem to you --

All I know is the mess in my own mind.

To say we differ means you’re not possessed

By devils all of whom will have their due.

I do not boast of living deaf and blind,

In fact I long above all to find rest.

Forgive me if I seek that rest in you.

It’s not that I intend, or hope, to bind

You to me, though all souls will seek some nest.

It’s just it’s all that I can think to do.

So let the storm break on your coast and wait

For calmer weather on some future date.
