THE BEST POLICY?
Having ruminated here about my supposed core value of "honesty", which hit its limit at some point around the time I started setting up anonymous e-mail accounts, I now find that I have come up with a new question to set aside an old one.The old question was:
Where does honesty stop and brutality begin?
and I think we have pretty well established that the answer is:
Just beyond the tip of my tongue.
The new question is:
Where does honesty stop and stupidity begin?
and I think I can say without fear of contradiction that the answer is:
When you have given someone the address to your blog, and you suddenly discover that you have been performing vivisection without anesthetic.
Right around there.
Actually, that might still be the old question...

For me, stupidity is being doing or saying things without due process of the consequences. Often I can be honest without succombing to stupidity.
Or so I hope; I am never sure on this razor blad edge
