THE RETURN of the PEARL BEYOND PRICE:
Soggy Crowd of One Rejoices
Here we go:
The Marathon Emotion-Loaded Seven-Day Togetherness Event kicked off with a weepy dinner of potato chips, marzipan, and Too Much Wine for the Troll; the rest of the week is sure to feature good food, good times, scary office visits, good and scary home visits [the One Called "Roz" arrives on Thursday], and "stuff" I haven't even thought to worry about yet -- though I think I've cast my worry-net pretty wide already.
It all culminates in the departure of the One I Love [tOIL? tPBP?] on May 1st, the red-flag day of Emma Goldman's imagination, and the sophomore's hope as the official demarcation of "outdoor @#$%&-ing", though whoever penned that little ditty had obviously never lived north of Boston. I have built snowmen on my birthday... and not seen daffodils till May 15th.
I know it's silly, but I was really touched to be picked as one of the "Blogs of the Week" by FinalSense. Apparently, I have three more days of fame -- more than my otherwise allotted fifteen minutes, anyway.
I am just going to let May and June "be a challenge to me". Ha!
Stick with me.
Pray for me.
