THAT HURT...
It's true I came home high on the event,
My heart so brimming full I had to speak,
But I had left that place where my poor heart had filled,
And drove away to be with you.
I'd hoped you could come with me but I went alone,
Found pain and joy both at their peak.
I called to have your voice at least take part,
Then left my children to give you your due.
Forgive me: in my joy I was relentless,
Little thought your own soul was so bleak.
I talked on till you loosed that little dart,
Hurt me as I unwitting had hurt you.
My heart again grew full, but now with tears unwept;
My love, let love drive out our fears...

You captured what must have been a very painful moment perfectly. I'm sorry that there was sorrow in the midst of your joy.
