What a mysterious organ the human heart is...

My born-again sister-in-law and my rabid reactionary Catholic godson have both gone out of their way to make clear that I am still very much in their hearts; my sister-in-law went out of her way to say that she still wanted me to be part of her children's lives. Now if that's not a mystery, I don't know what is.

I think that must be why the human heart is the best metaphor we have for God...
