SONG OF THE BLACK DOG...
[update]...

I am the first one to admit that I spend far too much time on-line, looking for news of my cyber-friends and worrying when they waste less of their lives posting stuff than I do. And that worrying when there's nothing you can actually do is a gigantic waste of time and energy.

But I do worry.
That's just the way I'm made.
Things do worry me.

It worries me that so many of the people whose stories helped me come to terms with my own have, wisely but sadly, closed down their blogs and retreated into silence. I know they don't owe me anything, but I can't help wishing I could hear SOMETHING from Chris or Drew or Ian or Drey or Ernesto or Bea, see some sign of life from people who have just not posted anything in the last weeks.

There is so much I should be worrying about that I never get around to worrying about because I am spending all my free time worrying about things over which I have no control. Well, at least I have to let a professional do our last joint taxes this year, so I can't fall months behind all on my own with nothing to show for it --- or lose the divorce papers in the sea of bookboxes again...

Ah, to hell with it.
Hang in there, all of you.
I'm going to try to get something done.

Oh.

I ate another bag of potato chips for lunch. I knew it was a bad idea when I bought the bag, but I said, "Oh, no, I'm not that stupid; I'll eat it over several days this time." Ha! It was gone within a few minutes of my arrival home. There is only one way to combat this obtusity epidemic.

DON'T BUY THE STUPID POTATO CHIPS in the first place.

Another day, another stick of butter. Eight warning signs of depression, anyone? First seven don't count...

On the other hand, the Far-Flung Voice did chime in again today. It never goes down but it also goes up. Right?

  1. You hang in there too, Troll. You're pretty important in my book, too.

  2. yeah, I do worry too...I hope all is going well for them too. It's getting depressing watching them leave. (Thanks for sticking around btw!)
