TESTING... TESTING...[TESTY???]
BETA BLOGGER II
OK, folks. It turns out that not only can't you post comments here "normally" as a blogger until you move to Beta, but I can't post comments on your sites anymore with my profile picture, as before. All of us crossing the Beta divide need to log in as "other" and then type a name to be able to comment, until we are all on the same [Beta] page.
I don't know what to do about the fact that I can no longer drop by and leave my lovely likeness on your comment pages anymore; I guess you will just have to take pity on me and cross over at some point --- Blogger is going to force you all into the Beta Collective in a couple of months anyway.
There are, however, some reasons to wait. There are always bugs in beta versions of software, and Blogger's seems to be no exception. While they are offering much-needed improvements in the template department, you also lose any improvements you have made to your base template when you try to access them; that is keeping me from trying it. I have learned just enough CSS to get into trouble...
So while I can't wait until you all "convert," I have to admit that there are reasons not to. As the church held for baptism, once you cross over, there is no going back. I look forward to hearing from you... what is the point of a blog without comments???

This must have been devised by the IT department at the company where I work. I've been wondering why they haven't gotten anything completed on my projects...
ReplyDeletePS I don't get it. I have not been beta-ized and I just left the last comment as myself...such as I am.
ReplyDeleteWhich invalidates my last comment because our IT department would not have fixed this bug so quickly...if at all.
I'm not crossing over - I'm staying behind. But I'll still comment on your posts!
ReplyDeleteTroll: Under "Choose an Identity" , if Betta Blog is not available, choose "Other" type yor name and put a cross referenced under web page to your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to cross over yet, either... at least not to blogger beta. Still good to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteTroll, all crossings have thier price. I don't know about blogger beta, but your other crossings have been made with great courage.
ReplyDeleteNow if I can just post this comment . . . .
Cheers, Joe.
